Amanda is Special Counsel in the Insurance (Statutory Classes) practice group in the Perth office of HWLE. Amanda has practiced in Commercial Litigation, Insurance and Regulatory for over 20 years.
Amanda has experience acting for insurer clients and insureds (and brokers on behalf of insureds) in all lines of insurance including coverage, professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ liability, public and product liability, personal injury, life insurance, property and business interruption. She has acted across a broad range of commercial disputes, including contract, tort and misleading and deceptive conduct. Amanda also has experience in statutory regulation matters, particularly concerning health professions.
Amanda has extensive court experience, having appeared as either counsel or instructor in various State and Federal Courts and disciplinary Tribunals. Amanda has been recognised in Best Lawyers™ Australia in Insurance. She is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia, Women Lawyers of Western Australia, Society of Construction Law and the Australian Insurance Law Association.

- Construction entities (architects, engineers, quantity surveyors) Advising on defective and negligent design in construction projects.
- Health professionals Advising in response to complaints about professional standards made to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) including appearing before regulatory boards and the State Administrative Tribunal.
- Various clients Advising and acting with respect to commercial and regulatory matters in the State Administrative Tribunal (building, professional standard’s regulation, tenancy disputes).
